Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September, all over France, nearly 17,000 monuments will open their doors for the 38th edition of European Heritage Days.
The Heritage Days are an opportunity to (re) discover the immense Grotte du Mas-d'Azil.
Listed as a Historic Monument since 1942, the cave first attracts visitors with the impressive geology of its cavity. But it is its archaeological fame that currently makes it one of the major sites in the Pyrenees. A place of refuge during turbulent periods of history, its past does not fail to fascinate the greatest number either.Useful information :
